Stars to watch in 2014

Some young actors and artistes got into the entertainment industry and somehow, became bigger than those who have been there before them. Last year was an eventful year for some of them and it is most likely that they would surpass their fans’ expectations in 2014. Saturday Beats lists some of the actors/artistes that are likely to set the entertainment industry ablaze in 2014.

Beverly Naya:

The UK returnee actress, Beverly Naya, is going places. She didn’t do badly in 2013 and it is expected that this year might get her to higher level. Her love for red carpet events was noticed in 2013. Who knows, Beverly might tone down a bit on how she attends every social event in 2014.

Mimi Orjiekwe

Mimi Orjiekwe didn’t really do badly last year. What got her more prominence anyway, was her engagement to an actor, Charles, all the way in Zanzibar. Nominated for one or two awards in the past year, Mimi might get the industry buzzing in 2014.

Anita Joseph

Like her or hate her, Anita Joseph is one actress that cannot be ignored. No matter the controversies that surround her in years past, Anita has remained unperturbed, holding her head strong. She was busy in Nollywood last year and it is certain the babe would be busier this year.

Osas Ighodaro

She left the USA to break into the entertainment industry in Nigeria and indeed, the ex-beauty queen, Osas Ighodaro, is not doing badly. Her role in Tinsel gave her more kudos and might open doors to more jobs. Osas also hosted one or two shows in the past year. This year seems bright for the pretty lady.

Damilola Adegbite

Popularly known as Thelema for her role in Tinsel, Damilola Adegbite is also another star to watch. Her Flower Girl got her an ovation and she is ready to set the industry on fire in 2014.

Ivie Okujaye

Those who judged Ivie Okujaye to win the Amstel Box Office reality show few years ago didn’t do a bad job for the young lady has not disappointed. She went on ahead to clinch an award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award in 2013 and really, the babe is hot. It is very likely Ivie would get hotter than fire this year.

Olamide

Olamide, the self acclaimed ‘baddest guy that ever liveth’ is simply talented and was very active in 2013. With songs like ‘Yemi my Lover’ and ‘Duro Soke’, the singer blew up the entertainment industry. Those who know him well say Olamide is set to make a huge mark again this year.

Sean Tizzle

With just two singles, Sho Le and Mama Lee, handsome dude, Sean Tizzle, became a household name. His songs got so much popularity that it wasn’t a surprise he was nominated in the Headies Next Rated category. Sean Tizzle won and expectedly, he would defend that award this year with more club bangers.

Burna Boy

Ladies love Burna Boy and that is not a lie. From nowhere, the young lad came into the industry and found his way up high. He has been featuring at local and international gigs and concerts. His chances of getting more accolades in 2014 are very high.
