It was recently reported that video director, Clarence Peters and Seyi Shay were in a hot romance, with even wedding bells set to ring any time soon.
But the singer’s manager, Bayo Akande, has debunked the story. He said what the two celebrity figures had was nothing more than a “working relationship.”
Akande described the story as ridiculous, saying that his artiste was not romantically involved with the director in any way.
“When we heard the rumour, we did not find it funny. Seyi Shay was not pleased at all. They are not an item. Just because Clarence shot two of her videos does not mean that they are in a relationship. Even Clarence was not happy about the story because he called us,” Akande said.
He told Saturday Beats that the singer did not have time for ‘idle talk’ as she was working on her album.
“She is busy working on her album; she has no time for idle talks. Her song, Chairman, where she featured KCee is enjoying massive airplay. Completing her album is what she is passionate about,” Akande said.
The singer in 2013 was also rumoured to be in a romantic relationship with rap artiste, Vector, but she also claimed the story was false back then.
