Our anniversary would be quiet –Foluke Daramola

A year after, despite the controversies that surrounded Foluke Daramola’s marriage to Kayode Salako, the duo seem to be going on stronger than most people expected.

But as they clocked one year in marriage today, the couple feel it is not a time to pop champagne. They said they would rather celebrate the anniversary “together, alone and quietly.” Incidentally, February 15 is also Daramola’s birthday, so it’s double celebration for the actress.

“There was so much noise concerning our marriage; so we have decided to spend our first anniversary together. We intend to go out of town to somewhere quiet; just me and my husband. We could later celebrate it in a big way but for now, things would be quiet,” the actress said.

Meanwhile, the actress and some of her colleagues, under the aegis of N17, recently held a walk against domestic violence. She told Saturday Beats that they embarked on the walk because at some point in their lives, some of the members of the group were victims of domestic violence.

“Some of our members are Yomi Fashlanso, Fathia Balogun, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe, Ronke Ojo and Muyiwa Ademola. We are a bridge between the common man, government and the private sector. At a point in our lives, we were victims of domestic violence,” she said.
